Our Story
Michelle Yu, the pastry chef and owner of Cakebox, used to work in the technology industry but always had a passion for making pastries, travelling and photography.
After much thought, she decided to leave a career in product management to pursue her passions. She attended the world-renowned culinary school Le Cordon Bleu in Tokyo. After completing the Advanced French Patisserie Program, she started baking in a private kitchen, refining her skills and nurturing her creativity. Now, with boundless enthusiasm, Michelle brings her delectable creations to the vibrant city of Vancouver to share her sweet delights with more people.

If you're looking for a single serving of sweetness, tarts and tartlets are the answer. A delicate dance of crust and filling.

FAQs
Do I have to order cakes in advance?
Yes. We appreciate 2-3 days advance notice. For special requests please email us at cakebox.yvr@gmail.com
How do I place an order?
Please add your desserts to the cart and select your preferred pick-up time when you checkout. Once you complete the payment, you will receive the confirmation email. We have two pick up locations, Metrotown station and 1507 Powell Street.
Do you have delivery service?
Currently, we don’t offer delivery, only free pick up service is available at COHO Powell and Metrotown.
What if I need to cancel my order?
We ask for at least 48 hours notice for all order cancellations as all cakes are made to order. Please note there is an admin fee for cancellations.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards.
Once your payment is processed, we will email the receipt.
Is my information secure?
We will only use your information for ordering and pickup services.
